Joy has been a healing and bodywork practitioner for over 26 years. She currently offers sessions in Rolfing, Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Structural Energy Balancing. Her work is an integrative approach to applied energetics including alignment, embodiment, and creative self-expression.

Background bio:

My educational background includes a degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in Special Education. I am a certified Advanced Rolfer (22 years) and a registered biodynamic cranio-sacral therapist. Complementary trainings in the fields of healing and bodywork have included Transpersonal and Esoteric Psychology, Reiki, Energetic Healing, and Regression Therapy. I have also taught or co-facilitated trainings in both Esoteric Astrology and Psychology through the Spirit Fire Meditative Retreat Center.

Rolfing & Structural Integration

Rolfing® is known as the "Queen" of bodywork; there is nothing I know of that brings about such deep and lasting change in the physical body as well as facilitating opening and release in the subtler energy fields of mind and feelings. It is an unfoldment of self.

Stress, pain, adhesions, and old injuries can be released. You will open to experience freedom of breath, increased joint mobility, fluid movement and aligned posture. Old trauma may resolve at a cellular level. As energy flow is restored, you become grounded, lighter and 'uplifted.' This is a transformative experience.

Cranio-Sacral Therapy

This biodynamic approach to release and integration is a gentle hands-on mode of accessing and enhancing the body's core energetic/electrical matrix. Accessing this etheric field allows for the emergence and embodiment of one's own deep healing and inner meditative spaces.

Inner Essence Journey

Beyond and within the physical, we exist as fields of light. As we work together to balance the energies of your subtle fields and chakras, you may journey into the awareness of these vibrational light/thought patterns. Here you can perceive these core energies "from the inside out," allowing opening, release and adjustment. The result is a grounded and expansive sense of wholeness and clarity.
